Requirements:

• Between the ages of 18 and 30
• Some Post-Secondary studies
• Can start May 20th, 2024

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Student will be responsible for partnering with and assisting the staff with different programming initiatives (ie. ESL lesson planning, planning and executing outreach events, planning and executing youth and children’s ministries classes and events, planning and executing leadership pathways, admin behind the scenes )
• Prepare the marketing/promotional materials for the events they are planning (ie. using canva to produce digital materials for Instagram and Facebook)
• Researching and putting together proposals for potential programs and events
• Prepare the resources and materials necessary for the programs and events they are planning (ie. slides for ESL and/or kids lessons, resources for games, assisting in setting up for events, etc)
• Attend weekly staff meetings, and any other meetings they are invited to (within reason)
• Partner with the pastors in the students’ own leadership formation (ie. as part of the mentorship process, there will be one-on-ones, leadership development opportunities and seminars we may attend, book studies, etc)
• Lead/teach kids classes and/or at youth
• Volunteer management/scheduling; correspondence
• Treat our community with love, dignity and respect
• Have the flexibility to take on tasks as needed - leadership and coordinating requires you to be flexible! Sometimes your role fluctuates to meet additional needs that come up in the moment (ie. a volunteer doesn’t show up, so either you find someone else, or you jump in to fill that need in the moment until someone can relieve you)
• Must be a team player
• Complete Plan to Protect Training 
• Provide Vulnerable Sector Police Check upon hire
